In 2016, he was promoted to the role of Deputy Course Manager, a position that makes him proud to represent such a fantastic golf club as Rotherham.

Initially, it wasn’t a case of Scott finding Greenkeeping, but rather Greenkeeping finding him. His first love upon leaving school was working in the motor industry, and he started an apprenticeship with TC Harrison as a vehicle body repairer. Unfortunately, redundancy occurred.

Scott will readily admit that his finest achievement in life is his three beautiful daughters, with whom he loves to spend time. He also takes his commitment to RGC to another level by residing with his partner Sarah in the flat above the Pro Shop, so he is literally there a lot of the time. Scott’s two main passions in life are music, in which he frequently enjoys attending gigs, and Formula 1, which is truly an obsession of his.

David

David’s career in catering started at the age of 15 as a ‘white gloved – silver service waiter’. Over the next 16 years his skills in customer service, product knowledge and attention to detail have seen him successfully hold almost every front of house position including maître d’ and licensee as he was regularly head hunted between both corporate and private food and drink venues.

Priorities as a single Dad saw him step away from catering and for over 10 years was part of a management team for a small chain of Neurological Rehabilitation Clinics.

David jumped at the chance to get back into the work he loves with the offer to work with one of his former colleagues; Head Chef Pete Green, swopping his shirt and tie for chef whites and an apron. His knowledge of food as well as the guidance from his senior colleagues have seen him gain confidence and improve his skill set going from a part time KP to a full time Chef de Partie.

Outside of work he will often be found out fishing or watching some sort of racing; anything with wheels and an engine tend to tick the box!
